The #Environment_General_Authority, in cooperation with the General Administration of the Coast Guard, carried out an inspection campaign on #Qarwa Island in order to monitor violators of the Environmental Protection Law and assess the environmental situation on the island. 4 violations were issued in accordance with Article 100 of the #Environmental Protection Law for throwing a boat tooth on #coral_reefs.

Two violations were also issued in accordance with Article 33 of the Environmental Protection Law for throwing waste in places other than those designated for it.

Accordingly, the visitors of the island were made aware of the environmental protection law.

The Authority advises islanders to tie their boats to cleats in order to protect coral reefs and preserve biodiversity.
